Knife attack on Israeli soldiers in Hebron

There has once again been an apparently politically motivated attack in Israel: on Sunday a soldier was stabbed in Hebron. The attacker was shot.

Tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinians continue to escalate after a wave of terror: An Israeli soldier shot dead a Palestinian woman on Sunday after she attacked him with a knife. The officer was slightly injured in the incident on Sunday at a border post in Hebron in the West Bank, Israeli media reported, citing local authorities.

Fourteen people have died in four attacks in Israel in the past two weeks. Israel fears more acts of violence during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began earlier this month. A Palestinian from the West Bank shot dead three people in the coastal city of Tel Aviv on Thursday. Since then, the Israeli army has expanded its activities in the West Bank in order to take action against possible terrorists there.

On Sunday, Israeli soldiers also shot dead a Palestinian woman in the West Bank who approached the soldiers despite warning shots. Israeli media reported that she was not armed in the incident.
