Son is said to have stabbed his father in Obernberg

According to media reports, a family dispute escalated completely on January 19th at three in the morning in Obernberg am Inn (Ried district). A 22-year-old is said to have stabbed his father.

OBERNBERG AM INN. The son is said to have attacked his father with a knife. When the police arrived at the scene, the 59-year-old victim was said to be still alive. The Cobra special operations team was also on site. The alleged perpetrator stayed at his home address after the crime and was arrested a short time later.

Victim succumbed to injuries

After receiving initial care from an emergency doctor, the father was taken to the Sisters of Mercy Hospital in Ried. However, any help came too late for the man – he died from his serious injuries. In addition, a woman is said to have been slightly injured in the incident. The background to the crime is still unknown.

As the “Krone” reports, the suspect is no stranger to the judiciary: he is said to have had his first criminal record at the age of 14 and has already been in prison twice. In addition, the 22-year-old is said to have been banned from entering his parents’ home at the beginning of January.
