Ariel Castro, the man who for years held captive three women in his house in the US state of Ohio and abused should have killed himself in prison. Justice officials found him hanged in his cell.

During a control transfer Castro was found hanged at 21.20 clock in his cell. According to a prison officer, he was not brought to the hospital resuscitation. The unemployed bus driver Castro had the young women Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus kidnapped between 2002 and 2004 and detained at his home in a working-class district of Cleveland. He raped the women countless times.
