Netflix wants to show ads in a few weeks

It has already been announced and now it is even earlier than expected:

Netflix is preparing to offer users a cheaper subscription model including advertising.

Initially planned for next year, it should now start this November instead. With the decision, the aim is to increase the number of users again and at the same time to forestall the competition from Disney.

In the highly competitive world of streaming providers, every little advantage counts. With the earlier launch of Netflix’s cheaper, advertising-financed subscription, the group is making a clever move. Because on December 8th we can expect a very similar innovation, which will be carried out by Disney Plus. So instead of worrying about the introduction in the new year, it will be ready in a few months. On November 1st, the subscription should finally appear in this country and in other countries.

The new model should come in handy for many Netflix users. After all, there were and still are many who share their Netflix account with others. For example, the password is simply passed on, which the industry leader Netflix does not really like. These and other factors are currently making the Netflix stock market look critical: According to Collider, Netflix lost 200,000 users and around 50 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2022. It is not without reason that people are now increasingly trying to get people to dig into their own pockets to use Netflix with additional costs and new strategies. With luck, this tactic should also stop the previous decline in subscribers and allow new money to flow into the coffers.

Yet another factor makes it imperative that Netflix rake in new cash asap: The growing number of original productions and the sequels of the biggest hit shows. After all, with all expenses, there must also be enough budget left over for supplies from “The Witcher”, “Bridgerton”, “Stranger Things”, “Haus Des Geldes” and Co. From November 1st, even more people can look forward to the growing Netflix offering without having to pay a high price for it.
