Ukraine statement from Turkcell: 10 percent of the infrastructure has been disabled

Operating under the Lifecell brand in Ukraine, Turkcell announced in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform that 10 percent of the infrastructure it operates in the country has been disabled.

Turkcell, which operates one of the three largest mobile operators in Ukraine under Russian occupation, announced that 10 percent of the infrastructure it operates in the country has been disabled.

According to the analyst presentation published by Turkcell on KAP yesterday, although there is no damage or interruption in the central network in Ukraine, approximately 10 percent of the company’s 9 thousand base stations were disabled on average.

The share of Ukraine in its revenues is 7.8 percent.

Operating under the Lifecell brand in Ukraine, Turkcell stated that there was no loss of life or injury among its employees, and that it provided sufficient maintenance equipment support to continue its activities and backed up its data center to the city of Lviv and neighboring countries.

It was stated that 45 percent of the retail stores operated by the company in the country are open.

Ukraine has a share of 7.8 percent among Turkcell’s revenues, which was 35.9 billion liras last year. Ukrainian operations account for about 10 percent of profit before interest, depreciation and tax.
