Were all used to footballers having a brawl during a football game, with the likes of Didier Drogba, Eric Cantona, Adriano and many others especially in the Americas showing off their punching skills as well as kicking.

However, would you expect a politician or even a President of a country to get involved in such un-sportsman like behavior?

Well that is exactly what happened on Sunday in Bolivia after Sports enthusiast Bolivian President, Evo Morales was caught on camera while kneeing an opposing player in the man hood after a harsh challenge.

The friendly game which turned ugly was between two teams which represented rival political sides which some think, adds to the flavor.

The incident happened after the opposing team player, Daniel Gustavo Cartagenam, had dangerously tackled the President.

Moments after the challenge the President was seen pointing at his foot and went up to an unsuspecting Cartagenam and kneed him in the groin.

Cartagenam was seen collapsing to the ground in agony.

The game which was a friendly only in name finished in a 4-4 draw with a total of four red cards (two from both teams) including Cartagenam who had been kneed by President Morales.

After the final whistle, Morales,s security guard tried to arrest Cartagenam, but failed after intervention.

President, Morales later denied he had ordered the arrest of the offending footballer but did not apologize for his actions.

Morales said later “I passed the ball and suddenly I received a blow. It’s not the first time it happened,”

It was later reported that Morales was seen by a doctor for a wound on his right leg and ordered to wrest for three days. The President continued work on Monday.

Leftist Morales’s side were playing against a team led by La Paz Mayor Luis Revilla who had been a close ally of the President who had later turned against him.
