Simon Cowell and Carmen Electra were reportedly together for about six months when she caught him with Lauren Silverman at his bed .

It was surprising when X Factor Boss  Simon Cowell’s seemingly whirlwind romance with Carmen Electra abruptly ended, but a new report is suggesting that she ended things with the X Factor creator after finding out he was with Lauren Silverman, who’s now pregnant with his baby.

A source told E! News, “Carmen was at Simon’s house in L.A. when she literally busted him with Lauren. Simon called her a friend, but there was nothing platonic about what was going on, if you know what I mean.”

Carmen Electra stunned in a clinging red lace dress at Hollywood hotspot The Beverly on Wednesday night.

The 41-year-old flashed a peace sign and a broad smile before she left, possibly in a bid to prove that she’s just fine after revelations this week about why she split from Simon Cowell.

According to insiders, Carmen caught Simon in a compromising position with Lauren Silverman – the married woman who is now pregnant with Cowell’s child – and immediately broke things off with the music mogul.

The source added that Carmen Electra quickly ended whatever was going on with the Brit, saying she “high-tailed it out of there,” because “there was no way she was going to stick around and be a third wheel.”

It was just a couple weeks ago that the public found out Simon Cowell was having a baby with his friend’s wife. At the Television Critics Association Press Tour promoting X Factor, he kept quiet about the pregnancy.

“Sorry. Unfortunately, I have to keep this private for the moment. It’s just one of those things, but thank you anyway,” he said at the time.

At the Do Something Awards, Electra talked about how happy she was for Cowell. “I’m going to call him as soon as I get in the car after the event,” she said. “I want to know if it’s a boy or a girl. It’s awesome, I’m super happy for him.”

Her honey blonde locks loose and flowing over one shoulder, the Til Death Do Us Part star pouted and posed as she showed off her age-defying body.

The slinky red lace mini-dress left no room to hide secret bulges, instead revealing her slender figure and toned limbs.

Her figure was also given a flattering lift by a sky-high pair of black patent Christian Louboutin slingbacks heels.

Not one to go au naturel, Carmen wore lashings of lip gloss and ringed her eyes with heavy black liner.

And it seems that the blonde beauty, who dated Cowell briefly between December 2012 and February of this year, bears the X Factor judge no hard feelings and wished him and his new family the very best at an event last month.

‘I’m so happy for him!’ the Baywatch star said. ‘What I witnessed working with him on Britain’s Got Talent and coming to see him during X Factor is that the people he truly believes in, he stands up for them and supports them. So I obviously think that his child will be very well taken care and very, very loved.’

She added: ‘I’m going to call him as soon as I get in the car after the event. I want to know if it’s a boy or a girl. It’s awesome, I’m super happy for him.’

Simon meanwhile has been spotted holidaying on his $73million Slipstream yacht in the South of France this week.

He may be enjoying the good news that his baby mama Lauren has been granted a quickie divorce from her husband, property tycoon Andrew Silverman.
