Topless two Femen activists stormed into the talk show Markus Lanz. So they wanted to protest against the conditions in the World Cup host country Qatar. The ZDF presenter responded confidently.

Excitement at the talk show Markus Lanz: During the live broadcast on Wednesday night on ZDF two Femen activists have demonstrated against the working conditions in Qatar, the host country of the World Cup 2022. The women ran in the middle of the show with naked upper bodies on stage – on her breasts were painted footballs.

They jumped between the guests up and down and chanting “Boycott, FIFA, Mafia.” On their bellies, the slogans were “Blood Games” and “do not play with human rights” (in German: “Do not play with human rights”). The women were taken by security guards from the studio.

What was new on the Femen action Lanz that the activists had two men there. The kept their clothes on, however, and held up signs. Talk show host Lanz, whose mission revolved around the theme of football, responded confidently: He spoke to one of the activists and asked about the reasons behind the protest.

He said: “The World Cup is yes in a few years in Qatar instead, there are workers treated like slaves.” Fifa should put pressure on the country or not even host a World Cup, “in such a country.” Lanz thanked him and said: “Message received.” The audience applauded.

The two women are the activists and Josephine Hellen, who were in most Femen actions in Germany this. For a topless protest in Tunis Josephine sat in the summer for several weeks in a Tunisian prison. Most recently, a Femen action against the refugee policy of Hamburg’s Mayor Olaf Scholz had directed.

Fifa had given Qatar three years ago, the contract for the 2022 World Cup. Lately the allegations, workers at the construction sites for the big event accumulated would be treated like slaves. FIFA President Joseph Blatter has the conditions for workers in the Gulf state already called “intolerable”, last but clarifies the World Cup would be held in any case in Qatar.
