Gordon Brown hit with new bullying accusations

Gordon Brown hit with new bullying accusations British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is under renewed pressure after an anti-bullying charity revealed that it had been contacted by the premier’s staff.

Christine Pratt, the head of the National Bullying Helpline (NBH) said the organization’s hotline has been called three or four times by the Downing Street staff during the past three or four years.

Pratt told the state-funded BBC that it has had “several inquiries from staff within Gordon Brown’s office” about the prime minister’s foul behavior.

She stopped short, however, of suggesting that “Gordon Brown is a bully.”

Downing Street has denied contacting the charity, adding that it has its own “rigorous and well established” procedures for addressing staff concerns.

Labor Parliament Member Anne Snelgrove challenged the NBH on Monday, saying the charity “needs to demonstrate that these questions really have come from staff at Number 10.”

She also criticized Pratt for going public with the case, saying the helpline was supposed to be confidential.
