Brazil’s Copa America squad announced

Brazil Copa America squad announcedBrazil’s squad for this summer’s Copa America football tournament was revealed Tuesday  with Chelsea midfielder Oscar absent due to injury.

In addition to the 23-year-old, injured during a club training session, Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Moura and Maxwell and Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk will also miss the South American competition between June 11 and July 4.

Brazil has won the Copa America eight times in its history and faces Colombia, Peru and Venezuela in Group C.

Brazilian squad:

Goalkeepers: Jefferson (Botafogo), Diego Alves (Valencia), Marcelo Grohe (Gremio)

Defenders: David Luiz (PSG), Marquinhos (PSG), Thiago Silva (PSG), Miranda (Atletico Madrid), Fabinho (Monaco), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Filipe Luis (Chelsea), Danilo (Porto)

Midfielders: Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Elias (Corinthians), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Casemiro (Porto), Willian (Chelsea), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool), Everton Ribeiro (Al-Ahli), Douglas Costa (Shakhtar Donetsk)
