Frank Rijkaard criticises Turkish TV reporter after “stupid question” angers Galatasaray’s Dutch manager.
Frank Rijkaard who was angered by a TV reporter
Rijkaard, was asked by Bahri Havadır, a Turkish TV reporter for Lig TV, “People always look for someone to blame in our country, who do you think is to blame for the failure this season?”.
Rijkaard, the former Barcelona and Dutch National team manager must have gotten very angry to the reporters question as he replied “stupid questions” and walked off leaving his translator, Mert Çetin and Havadır behind.
Also another point was that, Mert Çetin did not translate Rijkaard’s remarks back and has received much criticism for himself.
Rijkaard, later on announced that the mane reason behind Galatasaray’s European exit and having no chance of being the league champions is that his squad was not strong enough.
The Dutch manager also angered senior members of Glalatasaray, by saying “this season was not a failure” as last season the former UEFA champions “completed the season in fifth position where as this season we are third.”
