Antonis Samaras and his New Democracy party got 30,1 % of the vote, Syriza 26,5 %. It meant nobody had enough votes to give them a majority in the 3 hundred seat Greek Parliament. If no coalition deal is felled, the chances of the debt-ridden country crashing out of the euro would growth, sparking economic chaos across the continent.
