Putin revenge to Moscow Metro Attack

Putin revenge to Moscow Metro AttackRussia’s prime minister Vladamir Putin vowed to revenge and kill the terrorists behind the atrocity which injured scores of people.

Flags flew at half-mast on government buildings as a day of national mourning for the victims of the Moscow tube bombings started on Tuesday.

Police with machine guns were deployed underground as nervous commuters started to fill the Russian metro this morning.

Health official Andrei Seltsovsky told the Rossiya-24 state news channel that 71 people still remained in hospital due to their injuries from the blasts with five being in critical condition.

It is not yet known which terrorist organisation the two women belonged to but Putin has vowed revenge to the people responsible for yesterdays cowardly attack in the morning rush hour killing at least 36 people.

The attacks was the first in Moscow in six years. One attack was at the station beneath the headquarters of the secret police.

There are many suggestions into who might have organised the crimes with Islamic and Chechen routed organisations topping the list but there is no name given by the Russian government.

Russian police had dealt heavy blows to Islamic militants in recent months killing several leaders in the North Caucasus, including one just last week in the Kabardino-Balkariya region, which had raised fears of a revenge attack by the Islamic militants.

Prime minister Vladimir Putin, who built much of his political capital by directing a fierce war against Chechen separatists a decade ago, promised to hunt down and kill the organisers of what he called a “disgusting” crime. “The terrorists will be destroyed,” he said on national television.
