Brazilian authorities are convinced that Flamengo goalkeeper and captain, Bruno Fernandes de Souza who handed himself in yesterday for the alleged kidnap of his mistress, has “masterminded” the killing of his former mistress.

The Flamengo goalkeeper who was linked with a multimillion transfer to European giants AC Milan and Porto, has been accused of masterminding the murder of 25-year-old Eliza Samudio.
According to Brazilian authorities, the model was pressuring the famous Brazilian goal keeper to acknowledge paternity of “their” 4-month-old baby.
The body of the mother has still not been found after going missing in early June.
Brazilian police believe that the model was lured to Bruno’s home in Belo Horizonte, six hours away from Rio de Janeiro and was first beaten and then strangled to death by a former police officer, Marcos Aparecido dos Santos who is a friend of the goalkeeper.
It is also believed that the goal keeper had also beaten the woman and after she pleaded for the men to “stop hitting” her, she was strangled to death, cut into pieces and fed to dogs while other parts of her body were buried in concrete.
Bruno is also believed to have been present while the woman was killed.
The 25-year-old goal keeper who is married and has two kids has denied the allegations and was even reported to have said that his “chance of playing for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup” is not over.
Bruno has also acknowledged that he had met the model who played in a porn movie, at an event in 2009 where they had, had sex.
“It was an orgy. These parties are common in our circle. I was with her, everyone was with her,” said Bruno to a Brazilian magazine weeks before he was arrested.
The 25-year-old model has also been accused of deliberately sleeping with footballers to get her name known by Brazilian press and media, by Bruno.
The wife of the goalkeeper has also been arrested for attempting to cover up a crime after Ms Samudio’s four-month-old baby was found with a friend of hers. Five others were also arrested.
Brazilian authorities had been tipped of the crime after an anonymous phone call which accused the 25-year-old footballer of the crime.

Police have also been greatly influenced by the comments of Bruno’s 17-year-old cousin who lives with the footballer and cannot be named due to legal reasons.
Bruno’s cousin had admitted that he had heard the player speaking on the phone with an unknown person saying “resolve the problem” after he (cousin) admitted that he and Bruno kidnapped the goalkeepers ex-lover.
The cousin then admitted that the next day, two other friends and he (cousin) had gone to the house where the 25-year-old model was being held and was first beaten, strangled and then cut into pieces before being fed to Rottweiler’s.
The chief investigator of the case, Edson Moreira, has told Brazilian press that Bruno was “a monster for what he did to this young lady”. And added “Bruno was there and he saw how the woman was completely broken,“
“According to witnesses he accompanied Eliza to her sacrifice and to her death.”
Brazilian media had also alleged that MS Samudio had complained to police that Bruno had threatened her saying “You don’t know me and you don’t know what I am capable of, I’m from the favela (slums),”
Flamengo, the team which the goalkeeper has been playing since 2006 has announced that they have suspended his €90,000 a month contract, and his shirt has been withdrawn from sale from the clubs shops.
