Paige Miles has been the second contestant to be booted off the American Idol finals after her version of Phil Collins “Against All Odds” failed to wow America, or anyone for that matter.

The Elimination of the 24-year-old from Florida was no surprise for the judges as they battered her yesterday with her awful performance, with Kara saying “You have stopped competing” and Randy going further by saying “This was honestly terrible,”

Simon had agreed with Kara saying “I think you have stopped competing,”

The night had started of with a bang with the group performance of the American Idol finalists as they sang “Wake Me Up Before You Go-go” by Wham.

Poor Didi Benami almost fell unsurprisingly with her huge heels during the group performance but her day ended happily as she was safe.

There were also performances by mentor, Hanna Montana star, Miley Cyrus who sang her newest single “When I Look At You” from her movie “The Last Song” and also Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato. The charismatic pair sang put everyone in the mood with their version of Sonny and Cher song, “I Got You Babe.”

Paige was joined by 20-year-old Tim Urban and 17-year-old Katie Stevens in the bottom three.

Katie had sang “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie was the only contestant to have picked a song from this decade. The wrest of the songs were all hit songs in the 90’s 80’s 70’s and even the 60’s.

Katie performance was seen as ok by the judges with some pitch issues but her nerves calmed when Ryan Seacrest told her she was safe and it came down to the bottom two with Tim Urban who was in the final three last week coming head to head with Paige.

Tim’s performance was an improvement compared with last week where he sang a freaky reggae version of “Under My Thumb” by Rolling Stones.

Tim should have been sent home last week but his looks have always helped him in the contest and he has been kept on again. I know I keep repeating myself on this issue but I am going to carry on, because these are the facts.

Either way it was Paige who at one point was seen by Simon as the best vocalist amongst the girls who went home.

A comment that Simon has since said “I was wrong”.

Simon right away said she would not be saved with the controversial judges pass.

She described her journey at American Idol as the “the roller coaster of a lifetime”.

Now to next week and American Idol top 10. Well the celebrity guest mentor for next week will be non other then R&B superstar Usher as the contestants will sing R&B/Soul songs.

I personally believe Andrew will give a good performance and I hope he does but Big Mike I believe will shine next week “AGAIN” that is.

Tim I believe will go home, I hope will go home (I’m sorry Tim fans but he just can’t sing compared to the other contestants).

Write your comments bellow on who you believe will
do good and bad next week and who will be sent home.
